A little about me!

My name is Tori Stewart and I grew up in a suburb of Pittsburgh in Wexford, PA.  Through High School I was on the soccer and track teams, played piccolo in the marching band, and was part of our musical's stage crew.  Here at Grove City, I am a jumper on the Track and Field team.  Getting to know the other members of the team and working out together has been a highlight of my time here thus far.  In my spare time, I love to be outside and be active, which might be why fall is my favorite season.  Over the years, rock climbing has been a great source of exercise and fun for me.  Going on long walks around campus and spending an afternoon hammocking have been great de-stressors for me.

I chose to study Mathematics because in High School I found myself enjoying my math based classes much more than the literature ones.  I added Secondary Education with Math because growing up with 15 younger cousins has given me a passion for educating younger generations.  My Aunts have done a fantastic job educating their children well for Kindergarten and being a part of student's educational journey is something I feel called to do.  On top of that, being able to support students in ways past academics, with mental health, through tough social situations, etc. has always been a passion of mine.

Here at Grove City...

Here are Grove City I am keeping myself very busy outside of classes and studying.  I am on the Track & Field team here as a high, triple, and long jumper.  In the winter we complete in indoor track and in the spring we start outdoor.  On campus, I have joined Impact club.  This club focuses on spiritual leadership and discipleship through outdoors ministry.  Another fun club that happens on campus in the swing and ballroom dancing club.  They host weekly meetings that can be used a low-pressure study breaks for busy days.
