Jamboard

What is Jamboard?

Originally developed for businesses but teacher thought it would be perfect for the classroom.  Developed for brainstorming, very expensive but teachers have adopted it for the good of the classroom.

How do you create one?

You can create a Jamboard for students in google drive.  Jamboard allows you to draw, add sticky notes, add shapes, add fun backgrounds, draw with different pens, and text on each frame.

ISTE Standards

1.4 Innovative Designer.  Using Jamboard the students can be creative and design different ways to decorate their slide or slides.

Danielson Domain

This tech tool relates most to Danielson domain 3c, engaging students in learning.  Jamboard is a space where student can collaborate on their work and share answers with others around them.

Ideas for the classroom:

Jamboard can be used in the art classroom specifically for class critiques on student art work.  Having each student create their own slide to showcase their artwork, then the other students can give highs and lows for their peer's artwork.  It can also be used to take a pole of the class or creating a venn diagram using the circle tool.
